How To Find Time To Exercise As A Single Working Mom.

This single mom with a full-time marketing job found it impossible to start exercising, until she discovered Flat Belly Firm Butt in 16 Minutes. Here are 3 lessons we can learn from her experience.

How To Find Time To Exercise As A Single Working Mom.

The reason most people don’t exercise? Time. But now let’s raise the stakes: Imagine you’re not a busy student who has little time, you’re not a working professional with a demanding 10-hour a day job, you’re not a married parent with flexible hours, you’re not a married parent with a full-time job,  but you’re a single parent with a full-time job!

It doesn’t sound like you’d have a lot of time, right? As a single parent, you have to take care of E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G:

  • The housework is your responsibility (incl. cooking, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping etc)
  • Raising the kid is your responsibility (incl. studying, driving him/her to classes, spending quality time, attending school events, etc)
  • At the same time you have to perform at work.

And while it’s true that you may be able to outsource some of these activities (e.g., have a cleaning lady/guy) that still doesn’t change the fact that your plate was super-full to start with.

So that’s why Charlotte, the single working mom and Flat Belly Firm Butt in 16 Minutes graduate, found it hard to make exercise part of her routine. Who could blame her, right?

The Problem: Lack of time

“Before FB16 I had no exercise routine at all though it was something permanently in my mind that I needed to do! I just had no motivation at all and my weight was higher than normal simply because I wasn’t exercising. I am a single mum who works full time so free time is scarce!”

The Solution: Convenience

“During FB16 I found that incentive I needed. I woke up 30 mins earlier than normal and headed straight downstairs to do my routine before my son woke up. This way I found a plan to stick too.”

Her RESULTS: More Energy + Higher Productivity at Work!

“The additional energy I have with exercising more often also helps me focus while at work and I feel much more motivated and productive, this is resulting in contracts being fought for and won!”

Highlights from Charlotte’s Journey:

That day when 3 weeks into the Flat Belly Firm Butt in 16 Minutes program Charlotte reported her pants actually fitting!

“I still feel more awake, more alert, more positive and stronger in mind than I did before I started this programme.”

That day when Charlotte found it extremely easy to get off the couch and just do it, even though she had had a tiring day.

“Instead of sitting on the sofa, I did my 16 minute exercise.”

How To Find The Time To Exercise As A Single Working Mom: 3 Lessons From Charlotte’s Journey

1. You can be “thinking” about doing exercise for months or years and still not do it.

Notice how Charlotte mentioned that exercise was on her mind even though she was not doing it. You know what this means. Most of us have been there.

We think we should get going with exercise but for whatever reason, don’t do it.

I remember when I was a first year engineering student in my undergrad. I “aimed” to start exercise. Even though I “aimed” to do it, I didn’t actually start exercising until my second year at the university. So I postponed it for at least a year, for no good reason.

If you know you should be exercising, but don’t do it, then I want to call you out. What are you waiting for?

  • If you’ve started but given up exercise repeatedly in the past, and are afraid you’re not going to follow through, then I recommend you check out Exercise Bliss, an 8-week program that will help you make daily exercise a habit in 5 minutes a day. It’s made specifically for people who have tried to stick to exercise repeatedly, but have also not succeeded – repeatedly.
  • If trust in yourself is not an issue, and it’s not like you have a physical issue that’s preventing you from exercise, then seriously, what are you waiting for?

2. Thinking you need hours to put into exercise, will only keep you longer in the flabby/unfit zone.

For most of us, time is the biggest barrier. Let’s think about it. Going to the gym requires almost 2 hours:

  • 15 minutes to get there
  • 60 minutes to exercise
  • 15 minutes to get back
  • 15 minutes to shower/get dressed

Who has that kind of time? No wonder why you’ve putting exercise off for another day. And that’s why FB16 worked so well for Charlotte. Flat Belly Firm Butt in 16 Minutes only requires 16 minutes, 3 times a week. No time spent driving anywhere as you do it at home. Just log in, and do it!

Hence Charlotte decided to wake up 30 minutes earlier and that was enough for her to fit in her exercise and her shower time. And she still got to button her pants 3 weeks later. Nice, huh?

3. The benefits of exercise range far beyond buttoning your pants: What’s the value of those contracts Charlotte won?

Most of have connected exercise with weight loss. That’s such a pity because exercise does so much more than that! No, I’m not talking about living longer and not dying from heart disease. Yes, those are amazing benefits, but most of us are aware of them.

I’m talking about lesser-known benefits, like better sleep, mentioned by Krista, or getting better at work, as Charlotte said.

Charlotte is a sales professional. Getting contracts may mean higher commissions (not sure of her pay structure, but it doesn’t sound like a leap if she’s in sales and marketing as she said!) Not bad for working out for 16 minutes 3 times a week, right?

Do you also want to button your pants 3 weeks from now & perform better at work?
